Is it? Isn't it?What do you do if you can't afford a Ferrari 355 but really, really want one? Well, you probably buy a Toyota MR2 and a Ferrari body kit if you like that sort of thing, or just buy a scale model if you have a bit more taste.
But what do you do if you really, really want an Ariel Atom but can't afford one?
Well this clever young so and so built his own from scratch, including designing and building the chassis.
It does look remarkably similar with a high quality fit and finish, normally the crucial factor involved in the building of a replica.
He even (are you ready for this...) made his own welder from scrap microwaves - but there are no details as to whether or not this was used for the chassis.
Add undertrays for the coolest sledge in town
The most shocking thing is the fact that the builder was a young American. Presumably the next project is to build some corners to actually try it out on.
