The best of the best...

Starting off with (what else) but Nurburgring clips:

First up, the epic Radical lap from 2005 (6min55sec). Now, it may not be as quick as the current production car record set by the newer white SR8, but this lap (the one the locals tried to pretend wasn't official) has better in car footage. Being able to see all the small steering corrections really makes it worthwhile, as well as the utter calm on display from Michael Vergers as he makes adjustments to his harness and visor at over 100mph:

The above lap may have been the fastest possible in a road car but the following clip of a RUF Yellowbird is arguably even more impressive. I say arguably - that would be an argument worth having if it meant I could watch these pair of clips over and over again.
Supreme skills on display here as well as what is undoubtedly a touch of showboating, something that everyone likes to see, especially at the most feared track in the world with a notoriously hairy car...

If you like 80s racing saloons....

Next up, a selection of rather skillful displays of driving:

The following is Patrick Snijers in an E30 BMW M3 on the Manx Rally, knocking on for around 20 years ago now. Highlights for me include millimetre perfect slides ridiculously close to kerbs and getting around one hairpin so damn quickly that it barely seems believable.

There has been speculation on the internet that the following clip was actually a mistake by the driver turned into a show piece with a bit of fluke. But that is because we live in a world full of skeptics though isn't it? The in-car footage is surely enough to show that it could only have been deliberate and fully intentional.

Finest hillclimbing talent next, this genuinely looks like it is playing on fast forward. Amazing.

Now for something a little different:

This clip (and I hate to use this expression...) 'went viral' earlier in the year. I have seen all too many bike trials videos but even so I was still in complete awe of the Scotsman's skill. What it must have looked like to someone who didn't know of the sport I can only imagine. The music is a rare highlight as well, of that moody sort that makes me look longingly at my bike gathering dust in the hall...

Ruben Alacantara is a legend in the BMW world, a professional rider from Spain who has a bit if a thing for wall riding. This clip highlights his most recent video work. If you lose interest half way through it really is worth flicking to the last section to see his party piece. Crazy.
